REPSLog and REPS Time are both apps for real estate investors who log hours for real estate professional status (REPS) or the STR loophole. Both run on iPhone, Android and the web, both cost $14.99 a month to start, and both export a PDF and CSV for your CPA. They differ in how you capture hours and what you can prove with them.

Choose REPSLog if you want a timer that runs on your lock screen, attach the receipt or photo that proves it, sync Airbnb or Vrbo stays, or give your spouse or CPA their own login.

Where REPSLog stands out
Capture while you work. REPSLog has a timer that keeps running on your iPhone lock screen, voice logging that writes the entry while you talk, and AI autofill that turns “two hours with the contractor at Maple St” into a finished entry. We did not find a timer on REPS Time.
Evidence on the entry. You can attach receipts, photos, PDFs, Word and Excel files to any REPSLog entry, and the AI writes a plain-language note for each one. We did not find attachments on REPS Time. A receipt next to a dated, timed entry is what most CPAs ask for.
Short-term rental hosts. REPSLog syncs guest stays from Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking.com, Hospitable and 20 more booking sites and property managers, or any iCal link, so turnovers show up as suggested entries. We did not find booking sync on REPS Time.
Both big calendars. REPSLog reads Google and Microsoft 365 calendars. REPS Time lists Google Calendar and iCal only.
Sharing. Your spouse, assistant, property manager or CPA can each have their own login, full access or read-only, with no cap on how many. We did not find separate logins on REPS Time.
Bringing old hours in. REPSLog imports a CSV or Excel file on the web app, with column mapping, so last year’s spreadsheet becomes real entries.

Switching from REPS Time to REPSLog
In REPS Time, export your log as CSV.
Sign in to REPSLog at app.reps-log.com on a computer and open Settings > Import Past Data.
Upload the file. REPSLog maps the columns it recognises and asks about the rest.
Match or create your properties, categories and participants, then click Import with Mappings.
Your hours arrive as normal entries with their original dates. The 14-day trial covers the import, so you can check everything before you pay.

Does REPS Time have a timer?
We did not find a timer on the REPS Time website or App Store listing. REPSLog has one on every plan, with a Live Activity on the iPhone lock screen.
Can I attach receipts in REPS Time?

Can I move my hours from REPS Time to REPSLog?
