Booking Calendar Sync connects the calendar export link from Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking.com or any site that publishes an iCal feed, and puts your guest stays on the REPSLog calendar next to your other events. It is built for short-term rental hosts logging hours for the STR loophole or REPS. It works on iPhone, Android and the web app.

What it does

Supported sites. The Connect a Booking Calendar screen is a searchable grid of 25 sites: Airbnb, Vrbo, Hospitable, Booking.com, Hostaway, OwnerRez, Guesty, Lodgify, Hostfully, Expedia, Houfy, Guesty For Hosts, Smoobu, iGMS, Uplisting, Hostex, Cloudbeds, Tokeet, Beds24, Lodgix, Agoda, Plum Guide, Hosthub, Smily and Your.Rentals. The last tile is Other iCal, for any site that gives you a standard .ics link.

Instructions for each site. Pick a site and REPSLog shows the numbered steps for finding the export link there, plus a link to the site’s own help article where one exists. Where a site only offers the link on its website (Airbnb, Hostaway, Lodgify, Smoobu, Cloudbeds), the phone says so and offers Open in a browser.

The connect form. Calendar link (required, https only), Calendar Name (required, up to 120 characters, unique on your account) and Assigned Property (optional; set it later and it applies to stays already pulled in). REPSLog validates the link and imports the stays before saving.

On the calendar. Each stay is a Guest stay row with check-in and check-out dates, a badge for the site, and the property name (or the calendar’s nickname). Blocked dates a site exports show as Blocked (not available). Stays appear on the Calendar page, in the Overview’s Recent Calendar Events card, and as a multi-day bar on the web.

Add Related Entries. Tap a stay and REPSLog lists the ten activities hosts most often log around one: Cleaning & Turnover, Restocking Supplies & Amenities, Managing Guest Communication, Reviewing Guest Feedback & Ratings, Property Inspection & Walkthrough, Laundry & Linens, Responding to Guest Issues, Preparing & Staging the Property, Coordinating Cleaning & Turnover, and Handling Guest Check-ins & Check-outs. Pick one and the entry form opens prefilled with the activity, a typical duration, the category and the property. Review, adjust, save. Activities already logged for that stay move to an Already added list.

Managing feeds. Settings > Booking Calendars lists every calendar grouped by property with its state: Not synced yet, Synced, Can’t reach calendar, or Couldn’t read calendar. Edit a feed to rename it, change its property, or press Refresh to pull the latest stays now. Remove a feed and its stays leave your calendar; logged entries are untouched.

How it works

  1. Open Settings > Booking Calendars, or tap Connect a Booking Calendar on the Calendar page (on the web app, the Calendar Integration page).

  2. Tap Connect a Booking Calendar and choose your site from the grid, or search for it.

  3. Follow the on-screen steps to copy the export link from the booking site, using Open in a browser if the link is website only.

  4. Paste the link, name the calendar, optionally pick the property, and tap Connect Calendar. The stays import in a few seconds.

  5. Open the Calendar page. Your stays are there alongside your other events.

  6. Tap a stay, choose an activity from Add Related Entries, review the prefilled entry and save it.

Why it matters for your hours

A stay is not work, and REPSLog never turns a booking into an entry on its own. What a stay gives you is the anchor: the property was occupied on those dates, and the turnover, guest messages and restocking happened around them. Logging from the stay ties each entry to a real, dated event, the kind of contemporaneous record the 100-hour and 500-hour material participation tests and the 750-hour REPS test rest on.

For an Airbnb or Vrbo host using the STR loophole, the test is per listing: 100 hours in the year, and no one else, including your cleaner, co-host or manager, putting in more than you. The property on each feed keeps hours sorted by listing from the first entry, so each one’s x / 100 row on the STR overview fills as you log, and the per-property totals your CPA asks for are already there. When the cleaner did the turnover, log the suggested Cleaning & Turnover entry with Cleaner as the participant, and their hours appear in that property’s breakdown next to yours. Add the cleaner’s invoice or the supply receipt to the entry and the stay, the work and the proof sit together. Whether an activity counts toward the STR loophole is a question for your CPA; REPSLog makes sure the record exists and is dated correctly.

Good to know

  • Premium. Anyone can open the Booking Calendars page. Connecting, refreshing and viewing stays need Premium or an active free trial. If your subscription lapses you can still see and remove your feeds.

  • Platforms. iPhone, Android and the web app. Airbnb, Hostaway, Lodgify, Smoobu and Cloudbeds only publish the link on their websites.

  • Privacy. REPSLog stores only the dates, whether it is a stay or a block, and the reservation code where the site includes one. Guest names, emails, phone numbers and occupancy are discarded. The feed link is encrypted at rest and never shown back in full.

  • Refresh cadence. Feeds refresh automatically about every four hours, or on demand with Refresh.

  • No cap on feeds, and a guide for every site. Connect as many booking calendars as you have listings; each of the 25 named sites has its own step-by-step instructions inside the app for finding the calendar link, and Other iCal covers the rest.

  • One feed per site per property. Two Airbnb listings at different properties each get their own feed; a second Airbnb feed on the same property is rejected as a duplicate.

  • Past stays stay. Airbnb and Hostaway only export upcoming stays. REPSLog keeps every stay it has imported, so your history survives after the feed drops it. A stay that disappears while still upcoming is treated as a cancellation and no longer suggests entries.

  • Blocks. Booking.com, Cloudbeds and Lodgix export booked and blocked dates the same way, so blocks you set yourself appear too. Blocks never suggest entries.

  • Entry dates. For a past stay, a related entry is dated to the first day of the stay. For a current or upcoming stay, today. Never in the future.

Frequently asked questions

Does REPSLog sync with Airbnb?

Yes. Copy the export link from the Airbnb website (Calendar > Availability > Connect calendars > Connect to another website) and paste it into REPSLog. Airbnb offers the link on its website only.

Does REPSLog work with Vrbo, Booking.com or my property management software?

Yes. Vrbo, Booking.com and 22 more sites have their own tiles with step-by-step instructions. Anything else with a standard iCal (.ics) link works through Other iCal.

Does REPSLog create entries from my bookings automatically?

No. A booking proves the property was occupied, not that you did any work. REPSLog suggests ten common activities per stay and opens a prefilled entry for the one you pick, which you review and save.

Can REPSLog see my guests’ names?

No. REPSLog keeps only the stay dates and, where the site includes one, the reservation code. Guest names, emails and phone numbers are never stored.

What happens if I remove a booking calendar?

Its stays leave your calendar and the stored link is destroyed. Entries you already logged remain.

Does Booking Calendar Sync help with the STR loophole 100-hour test?

Yes. Each feed is tied to a property, so the entries you log from its stays land on that property’s x / 100 row on the STR overview. Log the cleaner’s or co-host’s work under their name and the breakdown shows whether anyone did more than you.

Is Booking Calendar Sync a good alternative to logging turnovers from my Airbnb calendar by hand?

Yes. Every stay from Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking.com, Hospitable and 21 more sites arrives on your calendar automatically and becomes a suggested entry for the turnover, on the right property and the right dates.
